The issue of this political cartoon is on the topic of the open door policy. This is shown on the piece of paper in Uncle Sam's hand. the cartoonists message is that China is being divided. This is shown by all the people cutting China into sections. A different opinion on this topic might be that China was happy that it had so many different countries. The cartoonist used symbolism. All the people represent different countries that want to trade with China, also the cartoonist used exaggeration. They make Uncle Sam bigger than the rest of the people in the cartoon. This cartoon supports my position on imperialism by showing that the countries can share land. The countries don't have to fight to get what they want.
